Below is the scoring system and general scoring pointers we use for rating toilets for the full review. Ratings are out of 10.

Area Cleanliness

Is the toilet area clean and up to a reasonable standard expected.

Smell Odour

Is there a nice, horrible or no odour? Does the toilet have a means of removing bad odour e.g automatic/manual airfreshner

Running Water

Does the toilet have running and is there hot and cold water available Is there cold water.

Hand Wash

Are there items provided to clean your hands after using facilities. Is it a bar of soap and is that clean ? Or is there a soap dispenser and is it full ?

Hand Dryer or Towel

Are you able to dry your hands or face after using water ? Are there paper towels available or is there a hand dryer. Is it hot and powerfull ?

Toilet Paper

Is there was good stock of of toilet paper and is it clean and not damp or wet?

State of Floor

Was the floor dry and not slippery ? Was it usnsafe e.g. broken tiles or carpet.

State of Toilet

Was there a toilet seat?
Was the toilet functional?
Was it blocked?
Was it clean?
Did it flush?

Toilet Checklist

Was there any toilet checking list that shows when the last person checked the toilet?

Bonus or Deduct Points

Is there anything else that you liked or disliked about the toilet. Any extras like condom machine, ash tray, dental products, waster paper bin, aftershave products.
